The Standing Committee on General Government will meet to consider Bill 118, An Act to amend the Highway Traffic Act to prohibit the use of devices with display screens and hand-held communication and entertainment devices and to amend the Public Vehicles Act with respect to car pool vehicles and Bill 126, An Act to amend the Highway Traffic Act and to make consequential amendments to two amending acts.
The Committee intends to hold public hearings in Niagara Falls, Goderich, Sudbury, Kingston and Toronto, commencing Monday, February 9, 2009.
Interested people who wish to be considered to make an oral presentation on Bill 118 and/or Bill 126 should contact the Committee Clerk by 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 29, 2009.
Those who do not wish to make an oral presentation but wish to comment on either Bill may send written submissions to the Committee Clerk at the address below by 12:00 noon on Friday, February 20, 2008.
